4.0 out of 5 starsA little disappointing out of the box, but great when you update custom firmware.December 28, 2011

I would actually give the Dropad A8 5 stars with how it's running right now after installing custom firmware from Slatedroid forums.Out of the box, it was a little disappointing for these reasons:- Many apps showed as imcompatible with this tablet (Netflix, Adobe Flash 11, etc...)- Many games were also imcompatible (GTA III, Madden 12, etc...)- Videos wouldn't play due to Flash not being preinstalled as advertised.- It took me a while to figure out that you have to slide in the ext sd card upside down which caused me to almost break and sd card. With all that said, the above issues have been resolved, thanks to some developers creating custom firmwares for this product. It's not hard to do, just make sure you read the directions in full a couple times to the point where you feel comfortable taking the risk. After upgrading, most, if not all market apps are compatible. GTA III, Madden 12, and Need for Speed run great. Flash videos work just fine. I can stream live sports with it. So far after upgrading, it has handled everything I've thrown at it with only one browser crash when streaming an NBA game. Even after that, I was able to open up the browser again and stream the game without any further issues. So my advice to someone looking at this tablet would be that if you're willing to learn to flash custom firmware/ROMS, then this is a very good tablet. Definitely worth it considering it's posting benchmarks comparible with some of the $500 tablets. If you're not interested in flashing firmwares, then expect a lot of frustration.
