I purchased one of these units from Walmart about a week ago. Amazon is usually the place I get the best deals, but on this one Walmart had it on sale and I couldn't resist buying one. All in all its a pretty okay tablet. Since it has an old Android OS, i.e., 2.0., it isn't as flexible as a newer version. However the price was right and it can do several things. I'm new to tablets so I didn't really know what to expect, but I found the device was a real great eReader. You can download books directly from Barns & Noble and Feedbooks.com. The eReader format is epub so you can't download Amazon's mobi or azw formats. The device also allows you to surf the web, download email and access the web via wifi. If you are looking to get familiar with a tablet and get your feet wet, then this is an ideal choice for the money. When compared to Amazon's Kindle, you can't really compare it. The Kindle will go for days, maybe weeks before you need to charge the battery. The Pandigital charge only lasts about 5-6 hours on full use. Still its fun to play with. The question you have to ask yourself is what do you want to do with it? If you're looking for the best eReader, then I'd say you can't beat the Kindle readers. We have three Kindle devices and love them. However if you want to play around with a tablet, then this is a great starter unit. Walmart's $69.95 price is a steal. So if you have a few bucks to burn go for it. It'll never replace my Kindle but its fun to play with. Good luck.[...]
